The Background of the Story
This story was written during my time at Grady Newsource while I was a UGA student. I wrote this story because the encampment, which was deemed successful for those who moved onto permanent housing, was being shut down. I explored why, which was because it was a temporary solution while the county government explored more permanent solutions to homelessness, which many county residents may not know.
